Romeo's Post-Party Jam

   Completing act 1 of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, there are many emotions left for the next act to resolve problems or add problems to Romeo and juliets love as rivals.    The emotions felt give act 1 an astonishing amount of problems that happen at the end of the ball once romeo leaves. Romeo and Juliet realize that they are from rival families, Tybalt,The kingsmen for the capulets, feels the urge to kill romeo but is stopped by lord capulet because he thinks romeo doesn't want to ruin the party and he isn't as bad as the rest of his family These are two of the main problems that happen during the ball.   The dialogue in act one scene 5 shows how romeo is deeply in love with rosaline. Although getting rejected multiple times Romeo doesn't give up and tries to gain her heart in many ways.   Romeo ends up sneaking into the capulet's ball because he sees her name on the guest list. Debate Writing #3

 The great wolf girl debate was a debate on "Who is the better wolf girl?". I was on team Jeanette, a smart person who could do things the rest of her sisters couldn't do. For example, she was the first to "Drink out of a sippy cup" or the first to "get a library card" this gave her a advantage over the rest of the girls but team Claudette ended up winning the debate. The preparation for the debate was alright. we were able to get the information we needed, a opening statement, a Debate group (Open forum) and a conclusion. I was a part of the open forum section of the entire debate. many people brought up good points on why their wolf girl is better then the rest. I think the open forum gave the groups problems in many ways. Being able to retaliate the same points the opposing teams brought up was hard.  This is a short summary of The great wolf debate from my perspective. From preparation of the debate and how i feel on how it ended.

Blog Post #2: Assimilation

 Assimilation, “when you get rid of what makes you unique, different and special to fit in with the majority normal,” social studies teacher Kathryn-Anne Barney said. This is something many kids do in order to fit in with the majority crowd and to not feel left out. People should be who they want and not be what others want in what they do and what they want to be. There are many cases where a person's life can change because of these expectations that others have put on the person. This can be a problem for the person who is getting pressured in multiple ways in mental and physical ways. Although these are some of the bad things found in assimilation, some of the positives of assimilation can be how the person ends up getting treated and changes in how others think of you.
